FACE MASKS MADE MANDATORY INDOORS

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong issued today, 17 May 2023, Executive Order No. 63, Series of 2023, Mandating the Use of Face Masks in Indoor Spaces in Baguio City.

The following health protocols shall be required for indoor, enclosed spaces such as, but not limited to, work places, classrooms, event venues, banquet halls, conference rooms; and other similar areas:
Mandatory wearing of face masks except in the following circumstances:
Drinking or eating;
Undergoing medical, dental, or personal care procedures that require the removal of face masks; and
During the conduct of strenuous physical fitness activities

Ensuring that individuals eligible for COVID-19 vaccination, especially immunocompromised persons, are fully vaccinated and have received at least (1) booster dose;
Implementation of engineering controls that maximize ventilation such as opening windows, doors, and other air passageways;
The mandatory use of face masks shall be done in consonance with strict hygiene and sanitation practices in order to prevent transmission of COVID-19;

Face masks are also mandatory in public utility jeepneys and taxi units.
